Paloma de la Cruz

Born in 1991. Lives and works in Madrid (Spain).

Paloma de la Cruz is a visual artist. Her practice, which encompasses monumental ceramics, installation, and performance, focuses on the poetic transformation of architectural space through processes of metamorphosis that transform it into landscape and body.

Through ceramic interventions with a strong material presence, architecture is embodied as a bodily geography covered with organic textures, where architecture and textiles interact to evoke the body through its absence. The performative dimension activates these pieces, giving them a new symbolic reading in rituals where the body, matter, and space influence each other.

Trained in fine arts and artistic production, she has been an artist in residence at institutions such as the Casa de Velázquez and has participated in fairs such as ARCO Madrid, Estampa, and Pinta Miami. Exhibited notably at the Centre Pompidou Málaga, her work is included in numerous public and private collections.
