En la piel del otro, performance de Pilar Albarracín

Meet at Parc de la Colonne, at the base of the Obélisque du 10 avril 1814. The route ends on the wooden esplanade in front of Matabiau Station. 

En la Piel del Otro, a procession conceived by Pilar Albarracín, is being revived for the 2026 Nouveau Printemps festival. This commemorative event, paying tribute to the city of Guernica, brings together women and men dressed in flamenco attire. This colorful procession of moving bodies is accompanied by bicycles equipped with speakers playing festive Hispanic music. There is no set choreography; the performers dance or walk freely, preserving the uniqueness of every gesture and every glance. 

This performance invites us to revisit history, to liberate traditions and rituals from the clichés established in another era for social, political, and historical reasons. It offers a symbolic space to rethink folklore, not as a static image, but as a living tool of identity and transformation.

Everyone is invited to participate, to feel free and embraced in this procession that carries healing, openness, and shared celebration in the public space.
