Nassim Azarzar
Born in 1989. Lives and works in Paris.
Nassim Azarzar is an artist who explores the semantics of forms, the way they convey meaning, with a particular focus on diasporic experiences and vernacular aesthetics.
His research into the decorative practices of transport trucks in Morocco, whose complex ornamentation emerges from perpetual mobility, echoes his own sense of being in between, having been born in France to Moroccan parents.
This investigation forms the basis of his visual language, which spans painting, sculpture, graphic design, experimental cinema, poetry, and sound, embracing fluidity and challenging fixed notions of belonging.
