Vernissage des expositions "Diaspora Wonderland" et "Entre les deux, des chemins"
Event
Collective Exhibition
The opening reception for the exhibitions Diaspora Wonderland and Entre les deux, des chemins will take place on Thursday, May 28, at 7:00 PM, at Lieu-Commun, an artist-run space, featuring the presentation of the Jury Prize in the presence of Rossy de Palma.
The Jury Prize will be awarded during the opening, presided over by Rossy de Palma, alongside Meriem Berrada, curator and artistic director, and Valérie Du Chéné, artist and teacher, at the opening of Nouveau Printemps. It offers the winning artist a collaboration with Documents d'Artistes Occitanie to write a critical text about their work.
Diaspora Wonderland
A circular project involving various European cultural centers, based on an original idea by Lotfi Aoulad and curated by Merriem Berrada and Clément Postec, Diaspora Wonderland aims to highlight the cultural richness of Afro-Mediterranean diasporas and explore how these narratives have traversed bodies, generations, and geographies.
Diaspora Wonderland Toulouse will be echoed at MACAAL in Marrakech in the fall of 2026 through a series of events.
An exhibition produced by Le Nouveau Printemps, in collaboration with MACAAL—the Al Maaden Museum of Contemporary African Art—and Das Relais, as part of the 2026 Mediterranean Season.

Entre les deux, des chemins
The exhibition "Entre les deux, des chemins" (Between the Two, Paths) brings together artists selected by Manuel Pomar and Clément Postec following a call for proposals issued to member venues of air de Midi, a contemporary art network in Occitanie. Twelve artists—born, residing, having lived, studied, or worked in Occitanie—exhibit their works, which explore themes of exile and migration through unique narratives and diverse contemporary practices, drawing on personal experiences, inherited lives, or distanced perspectives.
An exhibition bringing together artists from the Occitanie region nominated by member organizations of air de Midi.
