Won Jy
Born in 1990. Lives and works in Nîmes.
Won Jy's practice is based on collecting and transforming materials often perceived as discarded or harmful, which he reinvests through various media. By reevaluating their social, cultural, and ecological significance, he develops work that is attentive to observation, materiality, and notions of hospitality. His works question the relationships between the natural and the artificial, the visible and the invisible, and propose new ways of coexisting with our environments.
Presented by the CACN - Centre d'Art Contemporain de Nîmes.
